Origins 2013 planning

Tony Thomas and I are going to be running some events at the Origins 2013 convention in Columbus Ohio (USA) in June. We are in the process of working out a schedule so that our events do not interfere with each other.

If anyone else is considering running events, would you contact myself or Scoutdad and let us know what you were thinking of? We will be submitting our events in the near future, so time is of the essence (the deadline is 1 March 2013 I believe, but we want to be submitted much sooner than that).

So far, events to be run include:
Myself: 3 Beginner level 6-player fight to the death games where each player gets a pair of cruisers (NCA, CA or NCL), and you fight til you die. Dead players can return the next turn in a pair of frigates. 3 Fed vs 3 Klingon players.

One game of "Assault on an Alliance Base complex" Feds, Gorns, and Kzinti ships all try to defend a Fed BATS and Gorn MB complex from the Klingons. 6 players (1 Fed, 1 Gorn, 1 Kzinti) vs 3 Klingon players.

Tony is running:
8 hours worth of Demo games of ACTA:SF

A re-run of his Khurtis Rock scenario (7 hours it appears)

An official ACTA:SF Tournament - at least 3 rounds, with possibly some rounds on Friday night for those who need alternate hours.

All of these games should have substantial Mongoose prize support as far as we know.

Okay, my events have been submitted. They are:

"A Fight to the Death". An beginner's level game. 6 players for 4 hours.
Description: "Having tried the demo, do you want to play a larger battle with more ships and some terrain to make things interesting? Here's your chance. Play as the Federation or Klingons in a fight to the death".

Run 3 times:
Weds June 12, 2pm to 6pm.
Thurs June 13, 12 Noon to 4pm.
Friday June 14, 6pm to 10pm.

Also:

"Destroy the Alliance Base Complex". A more advanced game. 6 players for 5 hours.
Description: "The Kzinti and Gorns have been using bases in Federation territory to support operations in defense of Tholia. The Klingons object to this, and have sent a force to destroy those bases. If they succeed, they will cut the Kzinti and Gorn supply lines and trap them at Tholia".

Run only once:
Friday June 14, 12 Noon to 5pm.

Tony Thomas will be running short demo games, a repeat of his Khurtis Rock scenario (see here for last year's after action report: http://forum.mongoosepublishing.com/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=51447&hilit=nashcon ), and a multiple round Tournament.

Okay, Origins has their events list up, and here are the event numbers for my events:

#1008 Weds June 12 2pm-6pm, A Fight to the Death (6 players/3 per side, each with 2 ships on a fixed map in a fight to the death).

#1142 Thursday June 13 12noon - 4pm, A Fight to the Death (6 players/3 per side, each with 2 ships on a fixed map in a fight to the death).

#1355 Friday June 14 12noon - 5pm, Assault on the Alliance Base Complex, 6 players/3 per side, 8 Alliance ships + 2 bases vs 10 Klingon attacking ships.

#1421 Friday June 14 6pm - 10pm, A Fight to the Death (6 players/3 per side, each with 2 ships on a fixed map in a fight to the death).
