One Piece RPG

I never really botherd to watch this till quite recently, but Im honestly impressed with it as both an anime and a source of role play hooks
All it'd take is someone watching every episode and making detailed notes on locations, powers, personality traits, and the governments and you'd have an awesome RPG right there!

I might be a bit biased since I've watched 175 episodes already (You tube has alot to answer for..) but at the very leasts its something different lol.
(Episode 153's a good one to get a taster I think..)

I think it was a good manga, but adding hip hop music to the intro and using terrible voice acting (in the english version anyway) kind of kills it.

It would be a good piratey setting though. As a ashow, not so great, RPG maybe alirght, but it will have to be made more grown up.

I think some of the latter ones are pretty adult in places, but asside from that I kinda like the fact its set in a bright madcap world, keeps you guessing what could happen next . Havent seen the english dub, but if it follows the 4kids formula its been hacked to pieces so any nod towards adult themes has been removed and dubbed by ther worst actors available .

I forgot to say why I thought it would make an especially great RPG, theres an obvious reason why the party's working together, they're piratres, after the one piece, simple as!

well a pirates game of any sor twould rock. Just get a good license, like Pirates of the Carribean, or some other pirate movie.

One piece could work, but again, changes. The dub one is a bit terrible. What version did you watch max?

Im watching the fan subbed version. Come to think of it almost everything I watch is fan subbed these days, and I would feel guilty about it, except most of what I watch will never be released over here and then I think of how much of my money used to go on videos and kinda feel resentful

You're right about Pirates working well, 7th Sea is one of my favourite RPG's ever in terms of playability

Its a nice rpg, really high production values, set basically in fantasy Europe.
One of the cooler things is the GM awards players with bonus dice for doing dramatic things in game, which they can then use to get more bonus dice, add infinitum
