NWS Jutland Refight on HMS BELFAST

The NWS is staging a refight of the battle of Jutland on board HMS BELFAST next weekend (11/12 August). The game will take place in the Ships Company Dining Hall, so if you are in the neighbourhood please come along and say Hi.

Unfortunately we weren't able to use the developing VAS-WW1 rules on this occasion, but I'll be using the event as a tester for what works and what doesn't in these big dreadnought-based scenarios.

Forgot to add - we are using a computer moderated set of rules based on a development of the TTG Mictofleet rules.

Can you take some pics and write a battle report. I'm sure we would all love to know how it goes!

The organiser, Simon Stokes, writes excellent illustrated battle reports that go into the NWS newsletter (something that I edit). I'll make sure it either gets posted here too, or goes on my website with a suitable link.

In a more serious post, I'll be very interested to read the after-action report. The only computer-assisted miniatures naval game that I was aware of was Shipbase III.
