Noble Armada - What's Next?

As any long-term fan of Mongoose will know, we don't sit on our laurels here at the HQ, and the cogs are already turning for A Call to Arms: Noble Armada. We like to support our games heavily, so this is what you can look forward to over 2011...

Datacards
Asked for since the very first edition of A Call to Arms, we will be releasing Datacards for all the ships in the game next month. With 'wipeable' fronts, you can record all the nasty things that happen to your ships on these cards, they have a critical hit reference chart on the back, and there will be cards included in the set that will let you note down the damage sustained by entire fleets.

The Osprey
This is a big 'un, a heavy carrier for House Hawkwood. It has already been called the spiritual successor to the Poseidon (for you Babylon 5 fans out there), and can carry a massive load of 18 fighters on board - enough to terrorise any Decados fleet!

Tournaments
The first of our official tournaments takes place on May 7th (check out our news page for details), and all are welcome! We will be running a clutch of tournaments throughout the year, so get ready to prove your admiralship.

New Fleets
We already have five fleets available for Noble Armada, and are planning to have another five ready by the end of the year, giving you a great choice of 10 fleets in total (the old Babylon 5 game only reached 13 fleets after 5 years!). We will be releasing these starting in June with the barbaric Kurgan fleet, with rules as a free download in Signs & Portents so you can start using them straight away.

New Ships
As well as new fleets, we won't be neglecting the Royal Houses either. We are already experimenting with the Honoured Saint martyr fighter for Li Halan, the Samshir strike cruiser for Hazat, and the Sawfly command frigate for Hawkwood, among many others. Again, the rules for these will appear in Signs & Portents alongside the release of the miniatures.

Fleets of the Fading Suns
Aimed for September/October, Fleets of the Fading Suns is the first supplement for Noble Armada and will, among other things, collate all the rules we have been publishing in Signs & Portents into a more durable form. With new fleets, ships, background material and the introduction of psychics and theurgy into the game, this will again be a good 'un.

As I hope you can see, the suns may be fading in this universe, but the future remains bright!

Cool stuff, that bold italicised bit about the Osprey/Poseidon, I said that to Matt, well I said spiritual cousin, but close enough

You also said "I'm really looking forward to watching Sucker Punch except for all the hot women"

"apart from" not "Except for", and I meant that there are reasons other than the hot women to watch the film.

Are you implying there is a story line? I must of been distracted by the "babes" and didn't realize that!!!
