New Printer and MRQ Love

Rurik

Mongoose
Mongoose is pleased to announce that it now prints all of its books within the USA.

Traditionally, many RPG books on the market, especially the high end hardback and full-colour books, are printed in the Far East, especially China.

However, we have recently come to an arrangement with a US-based printer that now allows us to produce all our books in the US, even the traditionally difficult (expensive!) full colour books and hard backs. This includes every new release in 2009 and, by the end of the year, the full content of our back catalogue too.

Many of Mongoose's lines will be moving to full colour over the next year, including Judge Dredd, Hammers Slammers and Conan.

Mongoose itself has offices in both the UK and the US, and we are very happy to be able to directly support our home economies.

What about full color love for MRQ? Any or all? Also, will all books be going back to Hardcover or only some?

Questing minds want to know.

If they go from SB to HC presumably the HC's will cost more for the same book. If I recall right the prices dropped $5 or more when they went to SB.

I would love a full colour RQ Deluxe - I bought the original Monsters rather than Deluxe (I already had RQ & the Companion) because it was colour. Also apart from the Players Guide to Glorantha my only purchases have been the colour books (G:tSA, Cults 1 & 2 and Magic of Glorantha).

Maybe I have become superficial, but I only like to buy full colour glossy paper books now :)

It is worth pointing out that individual books are nto moving to colour - lines are. What we mean is that new books printed for those lines will be colour - old books will keep their current formats.

'This includes every new release in 2009 and, by the end of the year, the full content of our back catalogue too.'

The confusion seems to stem from the fact that it says 'the full content of our back catalogue too'. :?

Will be printed in the US - does not mean everything automatically moves to colour :)

Oh, right. I understand now, thanks for the clear up.

Oh, and I dont suppose we could get a MRQ version of Conan?

New Printer - Excellent news! No more warped covers and the option for color is a HUGE plus. Here's to Mongoose's success!

Warped covers and falling pages are already a thing of the past. All books were generally reprinted with a decent binding (although many went sofvover). The return of colour is a good new anyway...

Does that mean a new edition of Conan? Perhaps using (at least) a different system? Vincent's Conan MRQ?

Let's hope...
