That's not the rule. The rule is, if you split a point, you can only re-split one of the resulting points. So for example if you split a War point into 3 Raid, you can only split one of those raid down to skirmish.hegemon said:its still break the point down into two, but if you break it down further you have to have one of the origional brake points still
hegemon said:same with going higher, just reverse it, hehe.
Ease of use and flexibility are kind of mutually exclusive :?Chernobyl said:I think I could stand to see the FAP breakdowns simplified. It ought to be easier to see from looking at the number of ships and PL what is a legal fleet and what isn't.
hegemon said:right, after checking both my main rule books and fleet book with a fine eye, i actually misread the going down in the MRB, it does say 6, do apologise, however i would say that it is a typo as the actual fleet book states 8 going down, so i would go with that. there seems to be less typos and wrong bits in the fleet list than the MRB

however in the fleet lists you actually buy a certain level then buy up. for example you have a battle point that you split down to 4 skirmish points and then use 2 skirmish points to buy a raid ship.

now that's just silly. see, we got into this mess when they started allowing multi-breakdowns. I'm beginning to miss 1E's simple breakdown!
split a FAP once and be done!
you either go for 1 point buys x ships or break it down to 1X>2x>1x2Y>etcfor example you have a battle point that you split down to 4 skirmish points and then use 2 skirmish points to buy a raid ship.
