Nemesis Class Pursuit Ship: Print Edition Pre-Order

Spica Publishing is pleased to announce that we are taking pre-orders for our latest book, the Nemesis Class Pursuit Ship!

The first ship book from Spica Publishing, the NEMESIS CLASS PURSUIT SHIP book details a 100 ton starship designed for use with Traveller from Mongoose Publishing.

Pursuit ships are small, fast vessels with one, simple mission - to find their prey, chase it down and bring it to justice - although that 'justice' may be meted out by a wide variety of employers from interstellar police to criminal masterminds. Nemesis includes everything needed to use the ship in your Traveller game:
  • Full Traveller starship statistics
  • A detailed deckplan of the entire ship
  • Complete descriptions of the ship’s interior
  • Detailed statistics and backgrounds of three very different and unique NEMESIS crews
  • Three new vehicles that can be used with the Nemesis or as everyday vehicles
  • Scenario hooks to use as jumping-off points for your Traveller adventures
The Nemesis is the ideal ship for Agents, Bounty Hunters, Space Patrol officers and Enforcers. Ideal for player characters, the Nemesis is an excellent Adventure Class starship. With a Nemesis at your command you become significantly more dangerous to your enemies. With a Nemesis on your tail, you'd better start running, and fast!

Here's something to think about....

Pre-order customers can buy the Nemesis Class Pursuit Ship book for $ 11.20; they will also receive both the Nemesis Class Pursuit Ship book PDF ($ 7.15 from DTRPG.com after 12 April 2009) *and* the Nemesis Class Pursuit Ship deckplan PDF ($ 3.00 from DTRPG.com after 12 April 2009) *ABSOLUTELY FREE*...

...that's $ 21.35 worth of Spica Traveller goodness for only $ 11.20*... :D

...and don't forget: the print edition pre-order offer ends midnight (BST) 12 April 2009, so this your chance to get all 3 Nemesis products as bundle, at a bargain price!

* excluding S&H.

From 13 April 2009, the print edition will only be available from our Lulu storefront, which means it will unfortunately be more expensive than $ 11.20. Once the pre-order period closes Spica Publishing won't be ordering any more print runs to sell directly from the Spica Publishing site.

So now is probably the best time to buy the print edition :)

I posted a short note with a link to the Spica Publishing forum on my
German "home forum" Fundus Ludi, some of the users there may well
be interested in the Nemesis Class (although probably mostly in the
PDF). :D

Here it is:

It is a roleplaying archive with more than 2,000 files in its database and
a nice forum community. :D

Spica:

I ran a dummy order through up to the point of confirmation just to check posting to the UK ($2.85, nice) and the toal came to just north of $14, also nice, but in the T&Cs it mentions that payments must happen in GBP(£).

Just curious, because I'd like to use my credit card, but there is a surcharge on USD transactions, so if I pay using my Visa, does the dollar total get converted to GBP before my card is charged or after?

THanks

Any plans to print Career Book 1, or will it remain pdf only, mind you for the few bucks it is I'm not sure I mind.

LBH
We did, and we sold out! We *might, possibly, maybe* consider doing another pre-order print run of CB1, but that's dependent on the level of demand/interest.

Oops yeah that's just an oversight on our part. We recently decided to only use US$ due to the poor exchange rate PayPal gives for converting currencies.

LBH: check your emails.

Ta Spica.

I just checked, the charge is only like 1% or something and doesn't kick in until May or June dependent on card, so I think you might have a sale, so long as I remember before the deadline, though I'm sure you'll post a reminder here

So to clarify the procedure from your other forum, I post it here for the benefit of all:

I preorder the print copy.
on the 13th I'll get an evoucher for the pdf version, and presumably for the pdf deckplan as well now that that's part of the offer)
And then I wait for postie dearest to deliver my printed copy.

I must say I don't normally go in for 3rd party gaming products, but this has swayed me.

Yup you get the print edition book + pdf book + deckplan pdf :)

Cool, since Dragonmeet SW has been delayed till June I have some leeway in my RPG budget so I think I'll be placing an order this weekend.

One other question, I notice that the link to Lulu to buy Careers print edition says that you have no products listed there. So is the print edition of careers completely dead?

(Not that I mind too much, since the pdf is so cheap right now)

LBH

No worries, like I said the pdf s so cheap it almost isn't worth paying lulu for the print copy, though I do like books over pdf.

LBH

Just put my order in,

Just realised I should maybe have put in the notes section what I was ordering, but then I guess you're pretty much only selling one thing at the moment.

Looking forward to getting my evouchers and my book when they arrive.

Cheers
