Nehwon Cover

The cover for Nehwon is up on the main MRQ page here.

It looks like the same artist as Lankhmar. Now I was not one of the Lankhmar cover haters in the first place, but I think this one will be more favorably received. As with Lankhmar, I really like the composition.

But one thing that me puzzled. I think the full page art from Runic Powers and Cults 1 is freakin great. MP would get a lot less grief on boards (this one and others) I think is one of the artists from those books got some cover gigs.

On page 6 of Lankhmar, there's a full-page piece that I absolutely adore. It just screams 'Lankhmar' to me. Ultimately, it was the best part of getting the hardcopy of a book I put more effort into than any other so far - that's how much I like the piece.

The Newhon cover looks more like it, that is a really well drawn piece of work, balanced, nice cover, not as dynamic as Lakhmar.
The horses are excellent...
The Lankhamr pic is nicely composed but looks unfinished - this on the other hand is polished.

Nice cover, I like it; nothing overt, but still evocative. But then, I'm always impressed by an artist who can render a horse (never being able to do so myself).

Looking forward to this book. Been reading my old Fafhrd and Grey Mouser novels all over again...
