Like it says. Ive got several Narn ships I'm painting at the moment that need some names. Since theres no handy Narn language dictionary or translator lying around, I'm hace to rely on my fellow forum lurkers to give me some ideas

Some one had some comedy Narn ship names at Into the Fire II, one of my opponents, I can't remember who. I think it was my second game.

After a translation to English, or whatever your primary language says, their is no reason Narn ships can't have names such as thouse you would find in most other Navies of the world. Of course if you want thing's that sound more Narnish, then you can name them after Narn chartacters, G'Stens Pride, G'Kars Vengeance, enemies names, Londo's Bane, or just make names up that sound Narnish G'Kal, T'Kral, T'Pau (I had to put that... now I'll find out i'm the only person old enough to remember T'Pau).

Do you mean the band or the Character from Star Trek they got their name from? :D

As far as Narn Names go I tend to just make up a Narnish Ending and use the front half of the Ship name.
Hence G'Quans such as the G'Tak, G'tan and so on, The T'let, the Ka'Tro, the Ka'Port and the Ka'lamiti (It rolled a CQ of 2)

Of course you cant use that system with Rongoths, hence I had the Visigoth and the Ostrogoth....

G'kar is a good name for a Ka'bin'tak (falls into the period where he started being worshipped).

You could also have the G'sten, the G'tok (hooray for featured ships), G'lan. G'toth (Na'Toth's father? I think he was first circle Kha'ri).

Or you could think of translated names, like 'Black Star' for example.

I had a sudden brainstorm last night about figuring out Narn ship names. THeres no handy Narn dictionary lying around, but there is a handy Klingon one. Not quite the same but I'm guessing at least some of its very close to Narnish with a few letters transposed here and there.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I hope to have my ships doens by this weekend with a few "Ohh,Ahh" pic to show

Oh yes I had forgotten the Ka'Pow
That went boom as well, in fact all my Ka'Tocs went Boom, four of them in the same Action. My Centauri opponent is nearly as paranoid about them as I am about Sulusts! :D
