Need Help Centauri vs Narn

Mongoose
We have a campaign with our 5 War fleets and I have to go up against a Narn fleet soon and its knitted out for maximum death as per the usual Narn bat Squad and this bat squad has taken me out multiple times with the Lousville slugger against my ISA.

That Narn Bat squad fleet of death also dealt a home run vs a Pak fleet with only losing a few Kat'ans and a crippled GQuan.

my fleet as follows:

war 1: Octurian
war 2: Primus, Tetrius
War 3: Balvarix, Prefect, 2 Vorchats
War 4: Primus, Prefect, 2 Vorchats
War 5: Tetrius, Alterian, 1 Vorchat, 2 Corvans

without knowing his exact fleet cant really say that much.
Use your range obviously. take down the ka'tans asap as they die pretty easy really to massed beams, and they have more firepower than a g'quan in beams at least.
other than that not sure without seeing a narn fleet list.

his fleet is probably goes like

War 1: Bin'tak
War 2: GQuan x 2
War 3: GQuan, Dag'Kar, Ka'Tan x 2
War 4: GQuan, Dag'Kar, Ka'Tan x 2
War 5: G'Quan, Dag'Kar, Sho'kas x 6

Depending on beardy you want to go
Beardy list as follows
1 War -Octurion (could swap for another Tertius & two Prefects)
2 War - Tertius, Prefect, 3 Corvans
3 War - Tertius, Prefect, 3 Corvans
4 War - Tertius, 2 Prefect
5 War - Tertius, 2 Prefect

swap - Secundas, Primus for Tertius however you like depending how non evil you feel that day.
swap - Magnus, Dargan, Sulust pretty much any raid ship except the Balvarian ( don't need fighters, frazi are easily shot down by twin links) for the Prefect.
All Centauri raid ships are useful, weakest are Balvarian, Centurion, Dargan.
The last two are pretty good ships just aren't as good in a standup fight but are more maneverable & can be good in the right situation.

Only 4 Ka'Tan's in a 5 point war? That's not much of a bat squad. If anything his fleet might be a bit light as those Dag'Kars will go "Pop" the moment you turn a Tertius on them. Sure they have a nasty punch if he can bring the ship breakers in range but odds are that none of them will survive that long. Hull 4 and low crew and damage scores for a Raid ship plus no interceptors equals target practice. Especially in a War level engagement.

As a whole I think your fleet is stronger than his seeing how you have two Tertius, two Primus, and two Prefects and he has five G'Quans(not all that great of a Battle level ship). You should probably replace those Vorchats though. Maybe some Maximus instead?

I'm used to lower level engagements myself but I'd think you're probably best off slaughtering the Dag'Kars and Ka'Tans first since they'll crumple quickly under concentrated beam fire from the sheer number of beam armed ships you have. This gets rid of a good part of his punch quickly. The G'Quans only have 3AD beams after all to the 6AD ones on your ships. Plus he has to boresite(granted with the sheer number of Sho'kos he has he'll probably be able to). The Sho'kos are non-issues until they get into 4" and any that actually are getting close enough to be a threat you can probably pop off with a single barrage. Hull 4, no interceptors, and 10 crew is pretty much death in a single shot. Even with dodge 5+. Kill them as shots of opportunity to remove initiative sinks but don't really worry about them unless he's using them as a squad. Then it might be worth popping a few off before they kamikaze something. If you've switch your Vorchats for Maximus that might be the ship to use to off them letting your big boys focus on the important stuff.

Well your fleet looks fine to me, and BLIMEY you like to play big games I see :P

Anyway:

Id suggest:

1) Kill the Ka'Tans/Ka'Tocs if he takes them. Leave the G'Quans alone at first, they will just soak up your firepower.

2) Wipe out the ShoKos and Dag'Kars, they will just disintegrate faster than you can blink vs your beams.

3) THEN turn on the Bin'Tak with everything you have and terminate it with extreme prejudice.

4) Then and only then take out the G'Quans.

The only exception to the above rule is any ship loaded with Shipbreakers. Kill these little buggers before they get in range or you WILL regret it. Especially if its a Dag'Kar. A full load of shipbreakers from one of them will REALLY ruin your day ;). Oh and take Sentris, theyll still eat Frazis for breakfast and are SLIGHTLY more survivable than Raziks. Not that it matters much, against THAT many emines any fighter you launch is as good as dead anyway :P

make all your primuses tertius' instead. much better ship and you dont need the fighters from the primus anyway as they will just die.
kill the ka'tans/ka'tocs 1st, and unless his dag'kars have ship breakers ignore them. just go after his big ships, the patrol vessels as has been said destroy when they get close but otherwise ignore.
the big ships are more likely to carry ship breakers than dag'kars which is why i say target these next, against hull 6 the dag'kars wont do too much apart from disrupt your SAs probably.
one thing to remember, try not to surround any of the narn big vessels, this is when they outgun you when they have targets in all arcs. always try to keep everyone in one arc but without making yourself e-mine targets.

I'm going to disagree with the comment about turning all your Primus into Tertius. Yes the Tertius is a great ship but by doing that you're playing kind of cheap. Your fleet is already superior to his, there's no need to twink it out by maximising the number of broken ships in it.

As Locutus says, your fighters are meaningless in this fight. The sheer number of e-mines he has makes it almost pointless to launch your fighters.

I dont know thost Ka'Toks/Ka'Tans are pretty beardy themselves and can dish out twice as many beam dice as I can.

The Ka'Tans are also boresite and shorter ranged. They have no interceptors and are hull 5. And he only has four of them at War level. Yeah, if he was throwing 15 or so you could argue the beardiness of his fleet. But then again he has 5 G'Quans which can basically be ignored. The Prefect(argued by many as the single most broken ship in the game) and Tertius are both more broken than the Ka'Tan(which does probably need a slight downgrade) and you already have four of them in your fleet(2 Prefect and 2 Tertius).

You can go the route of mass Tertius and Prefects but that's going to encourage your other players to do all Ka'Tan fleets, Pak'Ma'Ra/Vree Scout fleets, etc. Do you really want to turn it into a game where all you see are the broken ships in each fleet?

well he had more Ka'Tans but 6 of them got destroyed by the pakmara fleet before the narn fleet destroyed the pak fleet. It had like 8-10 Ka'Tans

I havent seen hit list exactly jst by what the pak player told me
