Tonight I played a D7 and D5W against 2 Heavy cruisers. This was my second game while my opponents never played before,(they each had control of one heavy cruiser).
We started over 36" apart and I won initiative so the feds moved first. The came at me fast and hard. While I trued and went parallel to them so I could concentrate fire on one ship.
Second turn I won initiative again and started flanking one of the heavy cruisers, while my opponents started to split up as they came forward toward me. Need less to say 2 ships vs 1 ship did not do so well for the lone ship. And was almost gone when the second fed ship deiced to show up to fight.
We called it after 6 turns. One heavy cruiser had no shields and 2 points from a crippled statues, while the other was down to 9 shields.
After losing my one of my opponents started to complaining that the 2 fed vs klingon ships are not balanced right at the point system is borken and that the photons should be a FH arc instead.
NOTE: only one of the ships acutely fired there photons in 6 turns and was not overloaded. The other one kept doing shield boost and NOT firing his photons even when he was in overload range.
My response was that the game is fine the players are broken. So next time we play I will be using feds. Can we say "Overload Photons". :twisted:
