My Hawkmoon Game

Mage

Mongoose
Hello. I have only started posting again recently on this forum, so if there is anyone out there that still remembers me, hi.

Anyway, the point of this thread is that I am writing a Hawkmoon scenario, for tomorrow, and though I have written a bit and have a fair idea where the scenario is going, I am at a bit of a wall. I need to come up with a few enemies or adversaries for the players, but the two books I have for the game, both the core Hawkmoon Book and the Granbretan sourcebook, list ones that aren't quite suited to the situation.

I started the campaign with the Hunters of Granbretan. The game started with two players: one being a pirate stlye character, the other a Granbretanian exile of a sorcerous type. They ended up in Karlye in the scenario, and met up with another player, a science encalve sorceroror from athena, who happened to forget to buy sorcerous trappings after char gen and thus could not cast spells.

I'll post more on how the scenario went in a while and the direction the next game is going in (the one I am writing).

So, did you cut the guy some slack and let him respend his starting money or what?
There are good potential roleplaying hooks in that oversight.
I enjoyed running Hunters of Granbretan but found that it needed a bit of work. Fairhaven's reason for escaping from Granbretan with the relic being the main issue. It didn't seem to make sense to me.

Anyway, I would suggest running the 4parter from Signs and Portents, Ichtus of Life. It also needed a little work for all the story threads to come together but was really exciting, high adventure, high drama and a potentially world altering conclusion. 8)

I was thinking about running the Secrets of TE campaign or possibly, Tarnished Brass from Castle Brass but I think my PC's are a little too advanced for both of those now.
My PC'S include,
Caolan o'Colgan, a harpist from the City of Maidens in an alternate Tragic Millenium version of Eire.
Gianluca Marconi, a Sicilian who works for Sire Bowgentle as a spy codenamed "Stiletto".
Camrin "Redshanks", an Orkney fisherman who seeks revenge upon the Dark Empire for the destruction of his village.
Bruno Kessler, a Germanian sword for hire and, until recently, the Captain of a Berlinner Freikorps.
They are about to be joined by an,as yet un-named, Nurnburg Rat Sorceror/scavenger.

So I am planning to re run an old scenario from the Chaosium Monograph called "Sons of the desert". This time I will be adding more too it, including an encounter with the Barbary Corsairs and a pair of inept but loveable Sicilian rogues named Stanlio and Ollio.

I'm not sure if you're referring to Mage or myself Christopher. I can't run a Pbem at this time due to my work and family commitments but i might attempt such a thing sometime in the future.

Hawkmoon is tons of fun Probably my favorite of the "group" really. Keep us all posted I always like to see the formative links in new campaigns from other people.
