My budding Kriegmarine

We've got a fledgling group of VoS players in my area, and since everyone else is playing Americans or Royal Navy, I figured I start putting together a Kriegmarine fleet (somebody has to play the bad guy).

Here are some of my finished 1/3000 scale ships from Navwar.

The heavy cruiser KMS Admiral Hipper.

Three Konig class light cruisers.

"Gott im Himmel!!! Eine riesige Pussykatze!"

I've still got an entire early war fleet to paint up. I'll post pics of those when I'm done.

Those look good, Mark. I feel sorry that they're facing the Pussykatze vessel with no air support though.

Yes HMS Tabby there looks very dangerous, in fact I can see those German cruisers getting a right pawing

Because your links don't point at an image, but to a url which pulls the image from a database.

Air support would do no good for the Hun - not against Sea Cat anyway

What? Sea Cat had to be one of the most pathetic surface to air missiles ever...

Or as the Royal Marines called it apprently Sea Mouse...

Admitedly that was against modern jet aircraft, might hve been more effective against slower piston planes...

It wa a slightly ironic comment brought about for obvious reasons

That said, it wasn't a bad system for the time it was developed and is still one of the few naval SAMs to have seen action.
