Multiplayer Gamebook?

I was wondering if we could find out what this is referring to? Is this how the new RPG is being referred to, or is this something else completely different.

It is the new RPG. However, as it acts as a gateway from the gamebooks in that it uses much the same system and apparently monsters can be ported directly across, I imagine they went with a title to represent this i.e. multiplayer gamebook rather than RPG.

I bought the current book, but never actually got around to playing. I wanted to, but my RPG buddies have been into other games the whole time. I'll have to break them in on the new book at least.

I am quite looking forward to progressing my children from the LW game books to the multiplayer game book to the OGL version* and then to other RPGs beyond.

*Then again I am a bog fan of the OGL version too

Yep I'm really looking forward to this one as well it sounds like it should be a perfect introduction for the kids. It would be great to see some previews or even a rough index for what material is in the book. An example of how muliplayer combat works out would be good as well.

The Multiplayer Gamebook is on my list of things to do next month. Until then, all there is is the raw text. Previews will be up once layout is underway, probably in the latter half of November.

When the second edition is set ? in MS 5000, or later, MS 5100 like in the novels to be published during this month ?

A realm setting, like Vassagonia, the Stornlands or Sommerlund ?

A big campaign ?

Where did it go? Let's hope it gets back on the release list sometime soon. I don't care how far down the release list it is so long as it's on it.

I wonder if Mongoose have hit design problems with multiple combats and any other areas that you don't think of until you get into the design. If that is the case I would rather wait a bit for them to sort those issues out. It would be nice if mongoose developed using an iterative process with a team of playtesters and progress updates to the firum fans. This would however make delays even more unlikely.

I see that the LW RPG was taken off of the DEC/JAN release list. I know msprange mentioned that it's just waiting to be printed, but he gives no date whatsoever... makes me wonder how long LWRPG is to be delayed.
