If you are in the North Seattle area (specifically Everett) we are gearing up for the second round of StarFleet campaigning. The first campaign generated a lot of interest and so now we have 7 players committed with six different factions fighting it out. If you are interested in joing us, stop on by. Mugu games stocks all the available Fleet and Squadron boxes and even assorted individual blister packs as well if you need ships.
We are looking to start play on Monday the 15th for a 6 week session, and you can join late without a problem (as I did last time) if you need more time to get ready. All games are informal pickup matches played any night of the week, a quick post on our Facebook page (get the info at the store) is generally enough to get at least one player to come on down in the afternoon.
The Campaign Star Map has been changed to allow more factions this time, points are scored based on capturing key objective points and earning Prestige Points with (a limited number of) Deep Striking attacks that allow a player who can't play as much as others to still be able to be competitive throughout the event by disrupting an enemies supply chain. The first campaign was not decided until the final day.
Campaign play adds a whole new dimension to the game and greatly influences players tactical decisions as no one wants to waste precious resources losing ships needlessly.
