Mrs. Chipmunk's Arachnid Army!

Well, now that we seem to have finally settled in one place and got things mostly organized, my wife and I have time to get back to hobbies. Yesterday we decided to hit the miniatures again. At long last, she has finished her plasma bug (Hiromoon can understand this statement best). She's very happy with it, and asked me to share it with y'all.

Hopefully the multiple layers of drybrushing show up in the pics. There's more pics if you'd like better shots. I think she's making me look bad. :P

Looks good 8)

Just out of intrest did you build it with some weight in the nose? Saw my mates yesterday and he has done a fantastic paint job on it (see The Legends pics) just its bum is a bit big and it has a habbit of falling over.....

Tell Mrs. Chipmunk great work! As for me, I placed 3/8" ball bearings in the head with a few neodymium magnets. The head will slightly turn down and side-to-side. Mostly, I just added the parts as counter-weights though.

For mine, I greenstuffed a stack of 2p pieces together, and then greenstuffed them into the Thorax. It does need a bit of weight in the front end - although positioning the rear legs well seems to fix it, also.

Alright, here's some Warriors:

She actually did these a while ago but this is the first time I've sat down to get pics uploaded. She's done a little more, but she's started nursing school so she doesn't have time to paint now.

Definately a unique scheme; I like it except for the dark blue on top; personally I think a brighter marking of green or yellow would be better.

awesome work; you should get us some combined army photos.

We can't stop here! Its Bug Country!!!!

(I can't be the first one to make this joke...right?)

well anyway, I just love the warriors 8)

GREAT WORK!

Tell the Missus that she rocks!

I have to be honest: I'm not a fan of "neon" bugs, but they look good nevertheless. Hey! If YOU like it, then that's all that really matters, isn't it?

I bet those warriors would REALLY look trippy under a black light! :P

Just kidding! (No I'm not).

Great work...all kidding aside.

Regards.

That's some good work! I'm completely jealous. Usually the fact that I'm a gamer is a downfall when it comes to women (I know, I'm just as shocked as you guys about that!LOL), but you've got a wife who actually paints! She's good too! I especially like the Warriors.
