Moving in an asteroid field

The rules state that when you 'move into' an asteroid field you make the collision test. As it specifically said "into", do you still make the test when you move within or out of?

Common sense would say you do, but that's not what the rules say.

You only make the roll when you move into it. Weird, but true.
