Movement question?

Please forgive me if this has been answered, but I could not find it in the book or here.

I understand a ship must move half it's allowed movement before executing a turn, but what I could not find is how much of the allowed movement does a ship have to use? In other simulations I have seen ships can only increase or decrease movement by "x" a turn. I see not reference to that in VAS.

Am I correct in thinking that a ship with 7" movement can move 7" one turn and then come to a dead halt the next or anyhting in between?

A ship must move at least 1" per turn.
Page 5 of the main rulebook

It can move 7" one turn, then 1", then 7" on the following turn if you wish.

Thanks, I went back and saw the 1". So there is no gradual speed increase or decrease then.

I found the FAQ....at least the questions I was asking others were at one time as well.
