I was browsing through the Merchant Prince supplement when a thought struck me: With surprisingly little tweaking, I might be able to use the rules for running interstellar corporations to model *governments*. Hmmm. I will have to ponder on this.

With surprisingly little tweaking, I might be able to use the rules for running interstellar corporations to model *governments*.

I went half that way in my Pandora setting. There the Pandora Coopera-
tive runs most of the colony owned economy (aquafarming, seafloor mi-
ning, manufacturing, civil engineering ...), and the cooperative's profits
are used to finance the colony's non-profit budgets, for example educa-
tion and health services.
