Minbari question

ok the minbari havea variant colour schem from dark blue through to a dark / blue green. some have stark white highlights others have banding. would i be right in assuming the following?

1. Banding is a mark of honor for the ship ie, major battles etc

2. Stark white highlights represent an older ship?

(I have almost finnished my minbari fleet - hope to post pics tuesday morning Australian time)

*bump* just had an interesting conversation elsewhere and we discussed the paint changed with the Caste? Could someone answer this one a reall fluff buff, id like an answer cause even though i have finnished the fleet they are not sealed and i'd like to resolve this before they are sealed.

There is no variation in colour between the castes. The only Minbari ship that was a different colour was the Grey Council's Sharlin (seen in 'In the Beginning') - it had a green lighting effect.
