Minbari Protectorate

What sort of ships would a Minbari Protectorate fleet consist of?

I know the Liandri is supposedly being done as a ranger ship, but I was wondering about the Protectorate Militias.....thought I might try my hand at doing a fleet list.

Does anyone have any information on the races that make up the protectorate? How much contact they have with other races? Links appreciated....

Probably a mish-mash of ships from second line Minbari warships (i.e. Tigara size vessels, older hulls like Tinashis) to LONAW ships they might've bought in for themselves from weapons merchants like the Narn.

Liandra was the last of a line of Minbari patrol vessels, IIRC (I try not to remember too much of that film).

There was a large pile of stuff for the Minbari Protectorate in the AoG Ships of the Fleet 2 (not sure what it was first released as though - Perhaps Pirates and Privateers?).

Basically, the protectorate got access to some old Minbari Hulls without the Stealth systems.

The AoG fleet listed the following ships;
Shaveen Patrol Cutter (was perhaps the prototype hull for the white-star),
Rolentha Combat Tug and Retlata Transport (based off a Minbari tug),
Torotha Frigate,
Tradana Combat Frigate (Torotha variant Neutorn Laser instead of Molecular wot-sitts and troop space). The fluff says the Minbari built a dedicated shipyard in protectorate space for their construction,
Letann Scout (Tinashi Variant, no Neutron Lasers).

I would be ahppy to add any other Raid Level hull into the mix (Just replace the Leshath with the Letann). However dropping stealth might be a bit much....

There is also mention of Minbari vessels owned and crewed by the Worker Caste that act in support of the protectorate on occaision. So that might allow a higher PL vessel or two in the high end games.

So.....stealth-less and low-tech minbari hulls, plus a few 'indigenous' ships.

No 'true' minbari ships except at higher priorities, at which point you might call in proper minbari ships and/or the Rangers. Either an allies rule or something similar..... No idea where to get hold of SOTF 2, though.

The AoG site has this to say on the subject:

If anyone has one they could PM me descriptions from (no copyright-breaching stuff, just hull descriptions, armament, and a paraphrased version of the fluff behind ships, races and political layout*) That'd be superb...

I'd imagine ships like the armoured cruiser and lighter gunship hulls might be popular - without good stealth capability armour becomes much more attractive. Also a reduction in fusion cannon numbers might mean that
[amazement] the shock cannon might actually be a viable weapon! [/amazement]


* The political description might be in some RPG stuff? Maybe? No idea about the RPG side.
