Mongoose
Great system. Could easily be tailored to Traveller. I mentioned that an EVO RPG could be cool, but bringing this game back would be far greater.
For those who haven't ever been privileged to play this game, the setting assumes you're an operative for Blackeagle/Blackeagle, a private security company (read: Mercenary), that has field offices all over the globe. The original setting was 1999 (the game was originally published in 93) and man, you would almost think Charles Ryan (creator) was some sort of prophet. The predicted future setting and our present day reality are so close it's not very funny, which in a way makes the game all the more exciting.
As a side note, it's easy to make characters that aren't employed with Blackeagle, so don't think this system is limited to only that particular option.
It's a very realistic system, and though some would say that the combat is complex, my personal opinion is that it's no more difficult than any other system out on the market today, especially with the usage of laptops for P&P gaming on the rise.
For anyone interested, you can occasionally find the old books in PDF format as well as a bunch of fan-made material on torrent sites these days.
Ooh.. another thought here: military contractor minis for EVO..
Anyways, that's about it. I'd love to see MGP get ahold of this game.
