MGP shipping times (wanna buy MGP things but can't get them)

I want to speak of this because I feel it is really necessary.

During my Demos (I have much more done spontaneously than I have Demo Records for) I have met far to many people who had all the same one problem.
They tried to order SST Basic Boxes or Miniature Boxes - but they simply didn't get them.

They waited for weeks, not seldom for months, before they cancelled their order and went on playing other games.

I wasn't sure of how to interpret this, was it a failure of Mongoose or a failure of their german retailers?


Now, I have ordered a huge package in early January at one of MGPs german retailers. It has not yet arrived and I know that this is surely not his failure.

So please tell me, where did my order go?



This is a HUGE not-to and very urgent problem.
All the nice rulesets and all the fabulous miniatures are completely useless if costumers JUST CAN'T GET THEM, though they want to.

And I know from various MI Members that orders at Mongoose HQ will often take months to arrive.
In that case I ask you, do you want us to Demo or not?

I will order a huge package very soon, part of that will be an Exo army for a friend (the GameMaster of our SST RPG Group) who will help me demoing and a small starter force for a friend sympathising with LAMI, but still unsure to get in the game.

I assure you I will be REALLY pissed off if this package doesn't arrive within four weeks.
Even Privateer Press got that and they had to ship every single bit from the United States.
Mongoose is located in Europe, so it shouldn't be that hard, should it?

Its overseas Europe, not mainland Europe, still difficult.
I imagine it's a problem the retailers had from their stockist rather than directly at MGP. However, I cannot give a complete, nor definate answer.

I have the same Problem with Babylon 5 Call to arms.

I gave some demos at a local store and the guys really wanted to start B5, but they couldn't get either the rules or the miniatures.

Yes, that problem actually seems to appear mostly with the basic boxes what makes it extraordinary nasty.
I am sure now that Mongoose has lost a lot of german customers to this lack of availability.

And I still ask myself where my Basic Box got stucked (it should become a birthday present, but that's long over now).

When I ordered a book directly from Mongoose, i noticed that the sender address was Alliance, which Im assuming is their distributor, so the problem may reside there.

Ussually I never have a problem ordering, it always arrives within ten days and I live in Ireland, though my orders are not large.
This would shoot the game in the head if it continues, even at this stage.
Also, I applied to join the Mongoose Infantry months and months ago to demo SST, and I just got a reply from Mongoose about a month after that (where I had to email them again) and got a short reply saynig the program is being restructured, after which I got no answer. They only care about the evolution games now, if they ever make it past a year.

We have a good stock in our store and no problems getting what we want. We also have the -25% discount for the plastic boxes, so just drop us an email. We don`t have the starter boxes, but only because I don`t want to sit on the stock when the new Edition is released.

Whoa whoa whoa, 25% off plastic boxes? Is this in some shops or everywhere, or just the online store. Dammit man I must know! I'm excited now and I have a credit card.
