Melee Actions

I'm slightly confused about the move portion of a Melee action so theres a few things I would like to clear up.

Is the move part of the Melee action classed as a Move action therefore allowing for things which take place in a move action to be used?
Eg.
1) Jetpack states that it may be used in any Move action moving 15" and being a flyer for this Move action only. Can this be used in the move portion of a Melee action?
2) Similarly, Climbing allows you to move up and down one level with each Move action. Again, can this be used as the move part of the Melee action or do you have to do a Move action stopping 0.0001" from the enemy and then do a Melee action to engage him?

Anything that you would be able to do during a move action, you can do during the move portion of a melee action.

In short, no.

No, a Move Action is different from the move portion of a Melee action.

2) Similarly, Climbing allows you to move up and down one level with each Move action. Again, can this be used as the move part of the Melee action or do you have to do a Move action stopping 0.0001" from the enemy and then do a Melee action to engage him?

Reading the rules, it takes a whole Move Action to change a level, so I would say you must stop a short distance away before engaging him.
