Making color counters and maps ...

Mongoose
Heya ... I'm new to the game (and to Babylon 5) ... and am designing some space maps and color counters to use.

If anyone is interested in sharing some visual resources, I'd be more than happy to post any finished project. PM if interested.

I'm cropping images of the minis and placing them over starfields created in photoshop. Topviews of painted ships would be ideal.

Also ... looking for insignias of the various interstellar governments...

No ships, but Court Jester has a bunch of planets and other space stuff in this thread. It's free for the taking.

Thanks for starting me on the right track... making planets and custom images is not going to be a problem ... it's the stock images of existing ships that are trickier to come by, especially if you want to maintain a consistent look (design-wise). Although I plan to eventually assemble a minis fleet, some nice-looking counters would be an ideal immediate solution.

I've made a few counters of my own:
Hunter
Myrmidon
Shadow fighters
Shadow Scout
Shadow ship
Vorlon fighters

Also look at the Sticky: New Player Resources - clutter free thread, where there are links to other people's counters.

The official Sky Full Of Stars counter set may still be on sale - if you're in the UK, for example, The Hobby Box is still advertising it.

And if you want more than just counters, Burger's 3-D counters include Minbari and Drakh fleets as well as the G'Quan, Primus, Xorr and White Star.

B5Tech.com has pictures of various ships from the show. Some of them are clickable to reach top and side views.

The First Ones archive also has top and side views of many ships from the show.

Iron Wind Metals has photos of the miniatures they sell, albeit not top views.

I can't find any government insignia quickly by googling, so I'll let you try, but I'm sure they're out there somewhere. ;)
