Luther arkwright RPG/mini's

Mr Evil

Mongoose
ok nothing has happened in years on this since the early 90's !!!!!

but with modern rpg sytems it would be awsome to see this licence having somthing done with it. bryan talbot did this masterpiece to some along time ago and i urge people and MGP to look into this, as source book wise it could keep you busy forever and you could evan tie it in to BF-Evo at a push or do a squad based game based on it.

any way just a pipe dream.

transcript of original book

Players in the original Luther Arkwright role-playing game take the parts of men and women living on one of the myriad alternate Earths co-existing with our own. These Earths are in many ways very much like our own yet with significant differences, especially in political geography, historical evolution and technological advancement. The Earth of the Heart of Empire series, for example, (referred to as PARA 00.72.87) is one where America is an enlightened non-industrial country that keeps itself to itself, while the British Empire survives into our times as a totalitarian régime under the rule of a psionic empress who keeps herself eternally young by draining others of their life force.

Across these parallel Earths a secret war is being fought for their control. The instigators of this conflict are known as the Disruptors, a collective term for a number of mysterious organizations that have been manipulating the social and technological development of many parallel Earths towards mysterious ends. There are few Earths free of Disruptor influence. One of these, known as ZeroZero (in full, PARA 00.00.00), now attempts to counter Disruptor activities. The player characters will be drawn into this conflict one way or another, usually as agents on missions set for them by their Sector leaders on ZeroZero, and most will have varying degrees of psionic ability (as well as other skills).

The Luther Arkwright role-playing game comes conveniently as a single 160-page book containing everything needed for play except ten-sided or percentile dice (readily available in most games shops across this parallel). Apart from all the rules needed to play the game, the book also contains a section on designing adventures (including 23 adventure outlines and ideas) as well as an extremely detailed 20-page background for the whole Luther Arkwright multiverse, co-authored by Bryan Talbot, describing the history of ZeroZero, FireFrost, the Disruptors, the Bringer of Light and of course Luther Arkwright, and setting the original Adventures of Luther Arkwright in their proper context.
