Lost Ships

We are currently playing a campaign, one of the players has attacked another player. In doing so, he lost the crew on his ship. Does this mean the ship is lost too, or goes to the victor. Since the recovery team, surely wont go into enemy space to recover it.

No speculation here guys, rulesmasters only!

Yeah....how can you recover a ship in enemy plane in space. If a tank lost its crew in WWII, while atacking enemy possitions. Unless it was a victory, it was a trophy for the enemy!

I'm not claiming anything I just sent the battle report that a WS was decrewed Since I lost the battle I assumed I couldn't recover it.

The decrewed WS would have drifted off the table in the turn following its decrewing. It could never have been boarded and captured during the actual game. Dunno if that makes a difference or not, but since you're asking for a ruling its best to get the full context.

I think you only get your decrewed ships back if you are the winner, otherwise as you say they are trophy ships for the enemy. am sure i read it somewhere.

"If a ship has been reduced to zero Crew, you may recover it at the end of the battle, so long as the ship is on your fleet roster and you won the battle. You will need to buy a whole new crew for it - roll a new Crew Quality score for them."


So if you do not win the battle, the decrewed ship is gone forever.
