Lone Wolf Evolution playtesters

Hi guys,

We are going to run an article in a future S&P using the Evolution tabletop engine to play Lone Wolf. This isn't planned as a book release. I need a few volunteer playtesters please to go over points balance and units, etc. Any takers, email me at ibarstow@mongoosepublishing.com and I'll send you the rules.

I take it the 'evolution' engine refers to the starship troopers miniture game? If so I personally wont be interested (miniture gaming is not for me ), but I think if you post on the Lone Wolf board you will garner interest (assuming you haven't already).

As a side note, just for curiosity's sake, is it possible to get the rules if I am not going to be playtesting?

So is this the "Lone Wolf miniature wargame with prepainted miniatures from Mongoose" that Joe announced a few months ago then? I've been keeping quiet about that to see what you guys would say about it (so as not to prompt a storm of people inquiring about it).

I have no information on any pre-painted miniatures at this time. This is purely to support the miniatures already available and, as mentioned, only as a magazine article.

That's okay. Well I might get in touch (bit involved in a tabletop tournament for the next six months unfortunately but hopefuly I'll be able to set some time aside for it). If I think that I can commit enough time then I'll contact you guys about playtesting stuff.

Hey , if it involves the minautres already available, I guess that means the kailord, giaks, gourgaz and brotherhood wizard. (AFAIR thosre are the blister packs avialable).

I suppose with the combat focus of such games abilities will have to be focused, so we will only see stuff like psi surge/weaponmastery/psi screen in the rules. 8)

Anyhow, great idea, and a great way to support the blisters already on sale. Look forward to checking out the rules when they are available.

I have to say though, we have reprints of the gameboks, novels, new version of the rpg with all new ruleset, a computer game next year and now this. I guess all thats really left is a lone wolf trading card game, a lone wolf movie and an anime (Crypt Spawn, I choose YOUUU! :twisted: ) for the lone wolf kraze to be complete!

im tempted to apply, but if i did id end up buying lone wolf modles to playtest with and never get my new WM army painted lol.

also i have no idea about the lone wolf background, ie the feel, so probably not suitable to be honest.
