I see that the Liandra is has "unique" as a trait. I don't have the rules yet and am ordering models. What does this mean? I'm thinking it means you can only field one. Is that right?

Speaking of the Liandra, I'm about to start painting mine and don't have access to the movie it's from. Is there any visible engine glow on it?

If so, from where?

Let me guess, the Liandra is that stupid ship from that even stupider spin-off show "Legend of the Rangers" that lasted a whole, oh... 1st episode.

Does the fact that the Excalibur a unique vessel mean that I can only field a single Victory Class Destroyer at a time? If so, then I am going to have to introduce house rules here to deal with that. If you're playing a game that is big enough for multiple Victorys, you should be allowed to field them...

It means the Earth Alliance can only field a single Victory-class destroyer at a time.

The Interstellar Alliance can field as many as they like. The Victory-class destroyer is an ISA unit, not an EA unit.

Never realized that the Liandra is unique..... and from that crappy whatever.

If you want one painted i suggest checking youtube for battle scenes from it ^^.

No Engine Glow, seems to use same gravitic drives as White Stars

Speaking of resurrecting a thread on the Liandra . . . .

I'm sorry for bugging, but I don't have access to the Legend of the Rangers movie, so could someone tell me where on the ship the bridge is located? Is it a lighted viewport or an internal bridge with a sensor screen?

Basically, where do I paint the bridge window?

wrong brackets ;) its square brackets for italics in phpBB ;)

And as for not having access to legend of the rangers, consider yourself blessed ;) But try http://www.b5tech.com/, theres some good pictures. You can ignore alot of the rest as theres a fair old load of bollocks on there about some ships ;)

Basically though, no as far as bridge lighting as far as I can tell and no I dont think it has any engine thrust, using minbari gravitic drives (so no exchaust)

No viewports visible and i've looked at it from several angles.......I think painting it would be fun...as although it sports the Brown and Green Camo as seen on the Mongoose product page the surface of the CGI model really gives a metallic effect....to the point it almost seems like a greeny-bronze overall metallic colour......its rather like the Hyperion in that although people tend to paint these light grey....on B5 itself the surface gives and impression of a metallic dull silver.

Thanks, HKD. Looks like the bridge is tucked up near the middle, but I'm not entirely sure that it's represented that way on the actual model.

I'll post pics here tomorrow when I get it finished and brought up to work.

Basically, I laid down a dull brick red color on the model over a black primer coat. This was to add a "bronze-y" tint to the Rhulic Gold I drybrushed on next.

Then I watered down some GW Dark Green Ink and sort of brushed it on randomly to create some splotches of color. Once that dried, I hit it with a light, random drybrush of Rhulic Gold again.

It turned out very close to the images I've seen from Wikipedia and B5tech.com.
