[Legendary Heroes] Mass Warfare rules

Halfbat

Banded Mongoose
Anyone used these rules, yet?

I was wondering how they went or how easy they were to run and what sort of game they produced... (says a guy with lots of saved 15mm figures)

Though I have not tested the rules in actual game play yet, I did get a very good feeling from the rules themselves, fairly easy and quite adaptive and playable. I think they would work fine and be fun to use.

I have to admit though, that I'm not really a friend of Mass combat situations in actual RPG gaming, that I reserve for combat orientated games like old school HeroQuest or tabletops like BattleTech or ACTA.

It looks very usable. Im a bit concerned about the chance of units doing no damage for several turns, but I havent tested it out yet

Yeah, that' swhy I was interested about actual play. The gradually deteriorating morale seems a decent mechanic but I was hoping for feedback.
::sigh::
Anyone near Stonehenge fancy a try?

As the guy who wrote it, I can say that it worked well in playtest...but real games are the key...so I too would be interested in seeing how it goes over. :)

Going to use one of my gripes here since its almost end of year and I lose them if I dont use them by dec 31.
I was disapointed magic was not covered more in mass combat. I came to RQ and Glorantha by way of White Bear/Red Moon and I miss not being able to use the Crater makers, Stormwalkers, Wind Children, Blue moon school and of course the Cannon cult in mass combat. I hope that it may be covered in some future product. But I know it will be a headache to get right and even then people will complain.
