Legendary Abilities question: Battle Fury

I have read mixed opinions about the inclusion of Legendary Abilities in the new RQ, but frankly I am one of the players who actually like the addition of those "bonus abilities" for heroic characters. I just do.

Reading the LA chapter again tonight, I found something in the description of Battle Fury (pg. 99 top left):

"Your STR and CON are both considered to be 5 points higher, but only for the purposes of determining your Damage Modifier."

Sorry, but shouldn't this say "STR and SIZ" instead of "STR and CON"? To the best of my knowledge, the Damage Modifier is always based on the addition of STR+SIZ only. How does CON fit into this picture?

This might just be something that should go into the errata.

It was probably based on the old Berserker spell or Minotaur's Battle Rage ability that both doubled STR and CON.

Guessing here, but someone probably thought about it and decided that increased STR wouldn't count for things like arm-wrestling and put in the restriction on STR without thinking it through. Simply adding 5 is a bit wimpy, though - doubling STR is GOOD.

Personally, I'd stick with double STR and CON, this increases HPs and Damage Bonus a bit and stays in line with the older similar spells.

I can't see it increasing SIZ, though.

I don't think SIZ was supposed to physically increase through the ability.
It's all about giving the character a better Damage Modifier, likely a +1D6.

If indeed it was meant to say STR+SIZ, then increasing both STR and SIZ by +5 would be the same as increasing STR by +10!

I did change my mind about what I wrote earlier: Maybe it was indeed meant to indicate that STR and CON go up by +5 each, but only STR+5 will do something to your Damage Modifier. CON+5 would matter, too, as the sentence at the end of the paragraph says that the battle fury lasts for a number of rounds equal to CON. So that will be the character's CON+5 in rounds!
