Given the news that everyone's going on about, I thought I'd take a poll and see who is still interested in playing at the tournament I was planning to run this summer. If its just going to be a small group again, I may drop the event. Sorry.
So, if you're planning on coming to play, let me know.

I am in - I really enjoyed your tourney last year and I have been looking forward to it this year - in fact it is sort of the center of my B5 calender. Of course, if you decide to drop it for lack of players, I will understand.

Oh it's on RC!!! I have to say I still consider our match at Kubla 07 to be in my top 5ish games ever. I obsesed so much about the best way to paint Shadow ships on the way home that I bought a fleet as soon as I got home and have been struggling to paint them ever since (I just did the final mounting on my first 2 Shadow Ships last night). All that said, I don't plan to play them at KotJG 08 as I used them in a Vassal campaign and I think that they might just be a little over the top power wise.

its sounding quite up then.
Demonllama (formerly of Fresno) is in the UK but I'm not sure for how long.
I haven't heard from the vacaville guys in quite a while so I'm not sure if they're still playing.
I think the Reno guys will be up for it but haven't heard form them either. I'm hoping most of the SoCal/LA/SD gamers will show as well.
Keep your fingers crossed. :o

Just to support what Leadman said earlier... I can promise that I'll be there too.

Even if there is not an event, maybe we could all get together at Kublacon and get in some games anyway...

Well, looks like there will be enough interest, so I've submitted the event. I've requested space for 12 players and will start accepting signups soon, when I get that portion of the website running.

Format will be similiar to previous years, 11 point Raid master list, which you will use to build a 5 point Skirmish, Raid, and Battle fleet from for each round. 2nd edition rules. Gaim will not be allowed due to the ongoing controversy over what I consider to be an easily "breakable" fleet. Bring your own figures or counters. By popular request we will use the swiss (I think it was called swiss  ) format in which players get put up against the players with the most points possible. No players will play each other more than once.

More details to follow.

I'd like to get a serious tally of who is going to come and play in the case I need to request more space for the tournament, so Please sign up here for now....

Claude and I from Los Angeles are in. I think that Frankvas is considering if he will be able to make the trip - I would rate it as 50-50 at this point, but he would know better then I. I will start to work on the other LA area gamers that I know of.

Update - The exams are over and so now its full speed ahead on ACTA and getting ready for Kublacon and King of the Jumpate IV. I've had my first official fleet list enrty so far (Minbari) but I just wanted to let everyone know that even though its been a while since I've been around, this event is still a GO!

The event page for this tournament will be active soon on epicarmycard.com, if you're out west come on and see us!

Looks like I won't be able to make it this year, moved 5 hours further north and became a poor university student. Sad, as I've been looking forward to my rematch with Humbaba all year!

It saddens me that you will not be there this year RC, I also looked forward to a re-match!

By the way, what do you guys think - are Shadows too cheesy under the 2E stats?
