Alright, her ya go. One Kinunir-class Colonial Cruiser.

Looks very thin.

From the original deckplans I estimate dimensions to: Length 69 m, Width 50 m, and Height (ex fin) 15+ m. It has 5 decks for most of its length.
It roughly gives us the proportions of 14 : 10 : 3.

Your design probably looks better, but a little more height?

Also, don't forget the drop capsules in the forward part of the top deck (50 m from the stern). Five hatches to deploy 1.5 m diameter capsules.

I like this so far. Thicker as others have said might make more sense. I would also request, once it is done, a version with Blue highlights rather than the mustard. But that can wait until work is completed.

Depends on which version, the S9: Fighting Ships version makes no mention of drop capsules.

But I liked the drop capsules...

Ths is another one of those designs where the deck plans and the illustrations are hard to reconcile. the Illustrations shp he hull coming to a fairly sharp edge along the outer edge of the hull. to achieve that the ship would have to be far wider to allow for the required depth of the hull and still achieve a sharp taper. to get to the proper dimensions and still have the required internal space a blunt edge is required...

As for drop pods the current version lacks them...but I'll try a version with drop pods installed as an alternate...

Once I reconstruct the frakking model that got corrupted during a save and won't load now...( insert several pages of strong profanity and death threats directed at my laptop.)

Slightly reworked to look a bit thicker....had to go back to a previous WIP save so there are a few differences.

Better, but it should not be evenly thick.

It should have the same basic shape as a Scout, but with rounded edges and curved planes.

The cross-section seen from behind should be like a kissing mouth, thick in the middle, quickly tapering off to a thin sharp edge.

The problem is that top and bottom decks are quite long, the nose of the ship probably have to be blunter.

Sorry for the nit-picking, but I really like the classic shape of the Kinunir.

No worries I asked for feedback :D I can't complain if I get it.

I'll see what I can work up with those suggestions.

Alrighty did some reworking. it's now a bit wider and longer than the deckplans o allow for the shape o taper to a sharper point. thought i would put up a pic of he ship from several angles to give a better idea of what it looks like.

One aspect of the deign is that if it is head on to a target every gun it has can fire into its forward arc, allowing it to fire all weapons at one target simultaneously with rolling or repositioning the ship to do so.
if the target is alongside it can execute a roll and bring ever gun it has onto the target in sequence with he ability to fire half it's weapons load at a target with very little change of the ships position. However few of its weapons can fire into its rear arc without the ship executing a radical change of aspect.

Lovely, that is the Kinunir! I like that you have fixed the slope of the wedge to the length of the decks.

The original design had the most powerful weapons at the "wing-tips" giving a very good field of fire.

Thanks, that shape too some trial and error. I am considering one or two more tweaks but that is pretty much the final form. it came out surprisingly sleek and clean.

Looks good. I like the look you have given it. Now all we need is a dark grey or black with red highlights version.
