How about a book of everyday patrol crimes - minor perps doing minor things so that referees can add action and arrests to ongoing campaigns easily. The kind of things which are a bit time consuming to prepare but are very useful in a game - speeding, juve crime...I don't know. I fnd it difficult to come up with interesting ones on the hoof, and they tend to get repetetive after a while - it would be really good to have resource book full of 'em.

An entry could list the crime, the perp's name, stats, equipment, brief background, his motivation if any, any mitigating factors and a suggested sentence.

Sometimes a level of moral ambiguity could be suggested.

Also little plot seeds could be dropped in to give hooks onto bigger scenarios if required.

Thoughts?

Ah, I hadn't noticed them. Fantastic. Thanks. Those will keep the wolf...erm at the door. But a book full of them would be awesome, a brilliant resource.

I've only just read this thread (sorry ) and think this is a brilliant idea! It's the sort of resource that could also inspire GMs to create more complicated and detailed adventures.
