IS Map Form 8

Of course Classic Traveller had the maps in some of its books. I'm interested though in which Moongoose books may have it. And if not, which Mongoose book shows how to map worlds.

2300AD uses the maps, but I don't think it includes a blank map.

I am not aware of any MGT supplement that has a blank world map.

Maybe Tools of Frontier Living will have one (HINT HINT)

Mongoose Traveller doesn't cover that. At least it doesn't in any of the material I have access to.

The back page of The Traveller Core Rulebook has a blank world map.

Hmmm. That is interesting. Was there a Mongoose RPG before Traveller that did mapping that Mongoose still sells?

That's the first place I looked. Mine doesn't have it. If you have it in yours, maybe Mongoose has the missing errata page as a download.

ADDED:
Nope. Just the Subsector map for download.

Oops. My mistake. I did, once, download a map called PlanetMap.gif from SJ Games website. Had a look at SJ's website and couldn't find it. I think it may be available in GURPS Space but my copy is in a box somewhere - I moved house this year.

Nope. Scouts should have had it but, didn't.

When Traveller 5 comes out, all the previous map forms (published or online) will be obsolete. I guess if a size 1 world is considered a sphere, then the maps had to be measured differently in order to map one properly.

Until now, we were counting hexes along a triangle edge from point to point. Now we are counting just the number of hex edges between those two points.

Well IS Map Form 8 will have to be renamed to IS Map Form 7. 2 gets renamed to 1. This throws off the diameters of the mapped worlds you have. It's minor stuff though. Canon players will either love or hate the change.
