Idea for a game, but how to pull it off?

Alright. I am rereading the Starship Troopers novel and was thinking of a game based of the first chapter (where they attack the Skinnie city and try to burn it down) I was thinking of putting x number of buildings for every 500 points, and having the MI player attempt to destroy as many as possible in a limited number of turns (maybe 6) while the Skinnie player has 3d6 Skinnie militia come out of a building per turn to represent defense forces. Do you think it would work?[/i]

What would you be using for the MI force? I would say Grizzlies would be the best bet, but you would need to double the command radius to 12" (to give them the same freedom of movement talked about in the book) and probably give each model sergeant a pee wee. (so with 2 squads you get 2 pee wees) I would also suggest giving each grizzly the same weapons load out, 1 fire storm and 1 six gun.

For the Skinnies I like the idea of 3D6 per building but I would give a bonus D6 for each major target building, and have them deployed in units of 6, and for each unit of 6 they deploy they gain a constrictor cannon.

Make the buildings target 4 kill 9, with a 5+ armour save and 3 wounds. You could even have some special buildings with harder stats but worth more points.

Have it so that the only way the MI can score victory points is by killing buildings, and the Skinnie score by killing grizzlies mainly and also by protecting important buildings.

Hope these ideas help :)
