I rock so hard it should be illegal!

Mongoose
I pre-ordered directly from Mongoose way back when, and was surprised today to find a box of three MEA militia, 2 Brit squads, and a Challenger II.

So I snapped a few pics for all to see for scale comparison purposes with MBA terrain, Crescent Moon terrain, and a few other modern minis...

I did notice one thing though. All of the models are bound to the bottom of the packaging by twist-ties. Some of them seem to have bonded to the models at the feet... (glueing process to the bases??) It was easily fixed with a pair of GW wire snips.

The figures seem to go quite nicely w/ the Crescent Root terrain. An the British figure outside the door seems to have seen something that excited him  .

Jose - There are followers of his who have tried to kill me before. Thay can PM me for my contact info if they'd like another round.

Boomgoose - It looks more like acute nerve agent exposure to me

I was discussing the game with some mates last weekend, we were wondering how the game would be pitched considering the current climate, but we figured 'it's fiction, so no problem'. Real photos kind of makes things a little more muddy. See what I mean? (not for me, but maybe for the website). We had a lad from three streets away buried last week, brought half of our town to a standstill (full military honours). I'd never really connected Evo with our current reality until your photo, it just made me think of the game a bit differently.
Maybe an over reaction, probably because I spent last Saturday night arguing with someone who claimed the game was in bad taste and my point was 'yes it's realistic, but the setting is fiction'.

Edit: I just thought about it some more, it's probably me. I've always preffered games that involved killing aliens, robots etc.... Never really been happy with 'real' wargames. But mongoose impressed me with SST and GOMC-1 so I'm sold.

And why is the other Brit sniffing his sight? :)
Some huge advancement in the FIST system, they can actually smell the enemy.
(I know it's just the angle, still made me laugh though).

However in the interest of saving Mongoose Towers from a protest that may delay the timely release of more of their enjoyable products - the photo has been edited...

he he, now that's just asking for it :)

Still not sure if it would have become an issue..... made me think though.

Pretty volatile material. Then again, look at South Park/Team America.

I've said it before, stick a smiley on anything and it's more acceptable. Hitler should have wacked them on his Panzers, he'd have been eating scones in Chelsea before anyone realised he really meant it.

abt the pic, probably a good thing in case someone just stumbles by...
thanks for the comp pic, all i've seen so far were DDD or BS-minis, feels good to know they will match up decently with my mongrels and tagsters:)

If I ever try my hand at an FoW army, I am totally doing that.
After I make a walker-pod like in On The Moon as an infantry commander.

What the hell are we putting in our gun oil?
He's gone cross eyed from sniffing it :)

I know what's happened....... he went to sight down the rifle and forget he had the scope fitted, he's got his top lip caught in the eyepiece cover :)

Guess I'm not the only one that goes cross eyed lol. The minis look nice :)

good stuff

is it me or do the cars look a little on the big side ?
that said i love the ide of them being on bricks and stuff :D

The car on blocks is a prepainted model from Miniatures Building Authority.
It does look rather oversized with these, but if you ever need to do a redneck trailer park, or maybe a lot of pikeys - then it becomes a necessity!

Speaking of pikeys, where could one find some appropriately scaled caravans??

Now I'll have to watch 'Snatch' tonight...

Nice, but your invaders need to have Kilts along with the rags on their heads. (maybe a bagpipe too?) LOL.

I did just get the 'For Sale' Die cast cars yesterday. Ordered the whole set on Ebay fairly cheap. I'll toss them onto the table with some more pics tomorrow possibly.

Any specific size/scale comparison photo requests?
