so then, I and indeed others, want to know where in the blue hell the missing armageddon ships are. We have, to my knowledge been told pretty much bugger all. So I mailed mongoose, for no response, I PM'ed matt, with no response, and enough people have mentioned them on this forum, with no response.

I would have more respect for mongoose if they would say, we cocked up, the models didn't work, please be patient. Just giving us the silent treatment is childish and pathetic. We are not children, we can handle the truth you know!

Agreed, in last August there were new Narn War ships. Then they vanished, and now there is nothing this side of May.

When I asked, I´ve been told that these ships were being reworked. Maybe I only got an answer because I threatended to cancel my preorder (which I still did). Then there was an email a little later saying "we have not forgotten you", or something like that.

On the other hand, there hasn´t been much scheduled on the release lists for ACTA, and still there have been spontaneous releases - the T´Rakk, the Pak´Ma´Ra... so I guess that the ships will appear on the news lists only shortly before they are actually released.

But yes, I too would like to get a straight answer, this is starting to damage MGP´s reputation. I´d be satisfied if they gave a little update, or maybe a few photos of the WIPs.

Well, whatever, I´m not convinced of the gaming value of the new ships anyway, so I´ll survive waiting for the release (whenever that will hapen)

We have actually covered this before - there is no cover up!

A few of the moulds and masters failed in production for some of the ships, and so we set to work resculpting the models. The Vree Z'Takk, Drakh Mothership and Drazi Fireraptor are all done/about to be finished, and the rest will be along as soon as our sculptors can finalise them!

Cool - I can't wait to get my hands on the Vree Z'Takk and Drazi Fireraptor...shame I couldn't get 'em time to use at the ID Gaming Fleet Admiral tournament on the 13th and 14th though!

BTW Matt, no need to rush on the Narn G'Vrahn, I reckon the Narn players can wait a couple more months at least 8)

matt - stuff like this REALLY needs to be stickied somewhere (in the appropriate forum would be best)

then when someone comes on asking we, the regular users, can point them in the right direction.

Incidentally that would probably also lessen the amount of PM's, emails and phone calls you guys get. (which can only help with your workload!)

Seriously, these forums should be the first point of reference regarding release dates, mould production issues etc. If you then point EVERYONE possible to these forums, you not only decrease your workload you increase the community here.

And it gets the community on your side, which also isnt happening atm.

Seriously, these forums should be the first point of reference regarding release dates, mould production issues etc. If you then point EVERYONE possible to these forums, you not only decrease your workload you increase the community here.

Things like that tend to get deleted, you only have to look at the 'Rulesmasters' thread to see that. Yet, the likes of 'TPBM' is on 1620 posts!

The T'Rakk is nice. Not a bad skirmish ship. Just not a skirmish ship the Narn need seeing how we already have skirmish ships to fill every roll in our fleet. Perhaps in ACTA v2 the T'Rakk can take the Thentus role and the Thentus can be downgraded into a patrol ships(it's supposed to be the oldest Narn design right?)?

I agree. The Thentus is useable. I'm just thinking the T'Rakk should be converted into the Thentus current role with the Thentus getting a downgrade and then being made patrol since it's supposed to be the oldest ship the Narn still have in service.

I believe the Rothan is the actual oldest ship in service, and the T'Rakk in service date is some 27 years earlier than the Thentus.

I would like to see the heavier variant of the T'Rakk... the T'Norr!! The Thentus is a decent ship in the right circumstances - its a ship that performs better the higher priority the game due to the fact its weak twin-link weaponary is then normally up against hull 6 so doesn't suffer. Again the current T'Rakk is a ship that performs better at higher [priorities

Nobody said the Thentus is bad. We're just trying to find out which is older according to the fluff as we figure either the Thentus or T'Rakk should get a downgrade and become a Patrol ship as they step on each other's toes with both being Skirmish ships due to serving very similar roles in the fleet.

I think the T'rakk should get the downgrade. The Thentus is pretty good where it is, and me taking my usual fluff standpoint see the T'rakk as being in much higher production than the Thentus(thus more common), and from what I can see of the T'rakk... it's not that good. The T,Norr or whatever its called(the heavier T'rakk) could take the T'rakks current place.
