Speaking of acronyms that cause confusion imagine my face when one day I opened gmail and first up was email where on sender part was "FBI, me".

Thankfully I hadn't drawn attention of The FBI, rather it was reply to my email to publisher where I said very big thank you for a book I had been waiting and which arrived(plus question on estimated schedule for following books in the series).

At work, we spend a chunk of this morning desperately thrashing around to find out what a BAU commission was. Tech support didn't know, management didn't know, the customer who specified the damn' thing didn't know.

Turned out to mean "Business As Usual"...
