I have been out of the loop for 6 months and just getitng my stuff back out so I can start playing again(or find someone to play again).

But I have heard a nasty rumor that SST will be going to prepainted minis?!? I Really don't want to belive this and I can't find any thing to back it up but a few diff places/people have heard this and I am wondering it this might be true?

I know over a year ago Mongoose was asking about prepainted ships for the B5 stuff but I don't think that got past talking about it I think that is where this is coming from but not sure.

Well, SST: Evo will be getting pre-painted, but the old SST minis will still be able to buy and there are few differences between SST: Evo minis and the SST ones so it more or less depends on wheter you want pre-painted with some tweaks here and there or the older not-pre-painted.

Then it's me, so take it for what it's worth :wink:
That is, I'm a little unsure if I got it correctly myself.

Its a plus and a minus, more opponents who are happy they don't have to paint then the guys like me bummed it all we can find is prepainted. I just hope they don't radically change the rules all I'd do is seperate 'Ready' doing and 'ready' preparing into special actions and ready actions.

except mongoose are keeping all the extant minis in production. it'll only be a problem if you wanted to play Forth or when new units for the other races (and other races as well) come out

So all the minis that are coming out will be prepainted? But all the older stuff will stay like it is?

Where is the info listed I would like to read up cause I don't like prepainted stuff and I would like to read and get all the info on the topic

That was the official announcement

All new minis will be prepainted. All existing minis will have a prepainted version made at some point too. All current minis will still be available.

That is a question I'll be answering (along with converting) as soon as I can get my hands on a model to try

Theoretically it should be easier than repainting a "clix" figure.
