Howard's Great Cataclysm comes on us on Wednesday

The King

Cosmic Mongoose
After all, Howard described the end of the Thurian Age (Kull) some 8.000 years before Conan (and 5.000 years before the Acheronian Empire) due to a great Cataclysm that leveled mountains and created whole continent. For instance, the Vilayet Sea was created by such a cataclysm some 500 years after the big one, when a whole basin collapsed.
I know many of you would have like to see the "event" in the beginning of the movie "Conan the barbarian" (where instead they told us of giants).
Now you can experience it live on Wednesday. http://neo.jpl.nasa.gov/images/toutatis.html
Let's go back to stone civilization to found an Atlantean (and then Cimmerian) culture.
A new kind of LARP where we all play barbarians.

erm...this all happened in 1996. The meteorite ...erm...sorta...missed us...
But it comes back: http://echo.jpl.nasa.gov/asteroids/4179_Toutatis/toutatis.html

At 962,951 miles away - About 4 times the distance between Earth and the moon. Pretty close though by cosmic standards.

What if there is some attraction from unknown origin (the consequence of the invention of a crazy scientist or some dark sorcery from beyond)?
Anyway it would be a good time to simulate now the barbarian class. So when it crashed on the Earth we, proud Conan game players, will be already prepared. We will secure our position and be king (I'am already so there wouldn't be any change for me, perhaps less comfort) as are the one-eyed in the land of the blinds.
