What is the time increment for ship construction? Page 8

Square root of hull tonnage but is that seconds, days, month , years?

For the most part it’s great I’m especially happy to see the refit rules fixed. The only problem I see is the nuclear damper. Under the NDs description it states “ A successful use of a nuclear damper against a fusion weapon or salvo of nuclear warheads (whether they are on missiles or torpedoes) reduces its damage by 2D and removes the Radiation trait. Against Destructive weapons, every five nuclear dampers reduce damage by 1DD and remove the Radiation trait.” Which would mean you’d have to have 5NDs to reduce any damage since ship nukes do 1DD but under screens it states this “ Make a Gunner (screen) check for each screen. Every successful check reduces the damage of the attack by the amount indicated in the Damage Reduction column of the Screens table multiplied by the Effect of the check. A gunner may only angle screens against one attack per round.” The two are fairly counter dictating.

Just a quick question if I may, when one of the books gets a facelift like this, does the printed copy immediately switch to the updated version or is there a switchover period when old stock of the earlier edition would still be the version that is posted out? Asking for a friend....

I think it depends on where you order it. if you order it from Mongoose, I expect you will get the latest version. If you order from a game store or similar place, it could be potluck.

I am, of course, assuming that Mongoose is refreshing because they are out of the current edition and need to print another.

This - we have no control over game stores, but we don't put the new book on pre-order until stocks have run out of the previous. It saves a lot of confusion

Also, no confirmed yet, but High Guard might be arriving a lot sooner than we thought!

Update on this: It looks like we are going to be receiving the new High Guard in the UK next week (alongside Singularity, yay!). We are going to be shipping Singularity first because, well, they have been waiting a tad longer (!), and it looks like our US warehouse will be receiving High Guard (and Singularity!) around start/middle of next month. They have somewhat further to go, as these books are being printed in the EU, but the US guys are in a dedicated warehouse (here in the UK office we just have a table - sorry, two tables - for shipping...) and will turn around both much faster.
