HELP! Where are the Nova Starfury minis?

I know, it's embarassing for me to have to ask this question.

I was making up a big order list of ACTA minis and thought "Hmm, I'll need some Nova Starfuries."

but they're not anywhere on the catalogue or shop site.

Then a possibility struck me, do Nova Starfuries use the same model as the Aurora Starfuries, the entry in the fleet lists does mention that the Nova Fury is the first appearance "of the now iconic hull". And the picture looks enough like an Aurora but it's hard to be sure.

So can someone please put me out of my misery and tell me what minis are used for Nova Starfuries?

Thanks

I thought that might be the case. In the same way, the ISA Shial fighter uses a nial hull but some modified systems.

Oh well, that saves me some money, I have plenty of 'Nova' fighter minis already. And if I'm playnig in an era where only Tigers are available than I can proxy any more than the 8 flights I'll be picking up with other fighter typews, since the only fighter possible will be the Tiger it won't really matter what the fghter mini is.

thanks Locutus.

I've been planning a new Early Years Dilgar War specific EA fleet now (I entirely blame LC and his far too aswesome fan fic ;)) and have been seriously considering buying some more Aurora models just so I can paint them differently to my Crusade fleet :P

Must.... resist..... :P

I'll likely get 8 flights of Tigers that come in the EA Early box and just use Aurora/Novas for the rest, or if too early for Novas, proxy Tigers with Novas as I mention above.

ANyone know definitively that Aurora minis are what to use for Nova Furies?

Been looking for something more concrete than the inside of my head to go on but cant find it thusfar (besides the EFNI site about the dilgar war which is quite good but not sure how official).

http://efni.org/Aurora.htm

I'm pretty sure its in the old B5 Wars dilgar war book that it explains in greater detail but I dont have said book to hand.

IIRC the old Earth Force Source Book for the Chameleon Eclectic roleplaying game had an illiustrated history of StarFury development.

The Nova was very similar to the Aurora; slightly different angle of wing sweep, a few detail differences. Not enough to justify a different mini in FA/Mongoose scale, possibly not even in the old larger scale either.

Mongoose's Tiger is taken from the same source.

Pretty sure the Nova Starfury is the same exact model as the Aurora:

From the Fleet book..

The direct forerunner of the Aurora, the Nova was an early appearance of the now iconic hull, though it had avionics and weapon
systems that soon proved too basic for serious frontline warfare. However, this was the genesis of the Starfury as it is known today.

The Picture used in the Fleet Book is exactly the same as the Aurora (They're just painted different from the Aurora's in the same list).

And, even more intriguingly, the picture used for Nova Starfuries in the Early Year list is the same exact picture used for Aurora Starfuries in the Crusade list.

Thanks for the confirmations guys. Tank, the closest thing I know to an Early years EA expert, has said the same thing.

Unfortunately, it looks like financial restrictions may limit what I can afford to buy before production ends, so I may end up having to concentrate on ISA and just make do with the EA ships I have.
