Has anyone purchased the Uz book yet?

There might be some copies floating around (especially in the UK) but most distributors will be getting this sent to them early next week.

Confirming the words of the Ultimate GM, some copies are 'floatinjg about in the UK' - like mine. I've had it a while, but not got further than halfway through yet. No reflection on the book, by the way, I just have not had the time to devote to reading it properly :( .
First impressions were given in a thread shortly after I got it.

There were copies for sale at Tentacles last weekend. Didn't pick one up though, didn't want to tease myself given that I had promised my FLGS owner I would get them all through him...

I haven't read through it, but my first impression is good. Art is bad though. We're rid of the pig-creatures, but instead we've got some rat-creatures (on the cover) and some lizard-men (interior art). The overall impression is good though, as I've learned to ignore most Mongoose art as meaningless.

There were copies of Uz, Clanking City, Newhon and Hawkmoon at UK Games Expo in Birmingham today. (Those of you in striking distance of Brum and desperate for your fix can always go tomorrow (sunday)).

I didn't get copies for the same reason - I want to support my FLGS.

I did make a couple of observations though...

1) The Uz in the Trolls book look more like RQ Trolls and less like 1st edition Monster Manual "pig faced" Orcs

2) The combat tables in Hawkmoon still fail to recognise that "Fumble" is a possible outcome

3) Although most of the bindings look better than my Players Guide, there were still some that looked distinctly second rate...
