I like the idea of this type of publication.

Just as a thought. You guys might want to look at worlds in the SM's that aren't fleshed out and use the UWP's of those to create future worlds/booklets.

The reason being, a GM can drop them directly into a SM campaign and build up his SM sector at the same time. And, if someone isn't using SM, it still isn't a problem.

Just an idea...

DFW, I don't know what the licensing issues are for using OTU/SM worlds, so that idea might not fly.

Still, it would be more useful. I suppose it would be possible to design custom worlds that just happen to share UWPs with known SM worlds, and have a "where can XXX fit in your campaign?" section in the book. :)

As long as you aren't using the world names, it isn't an issue.

You're example is exactly what I was intending.. :D

I discussed this idea with Mongoose Matt a few years ago. Doing this is ok.

You'd have to discuss this with Mongoose Matt about this, but my guess would be not so much happening. More than likely the closest you'll get is the Foreven license.

That's true because you'd have to use the Sector/subsector/world name. But, the UWP would be enough for a GM. Certainly MUCH faster than creating from whole cloth.

Thanks. We have more in the pipeline.

Not sure how one would market that sort of wink, wink nudge, nudge kind of thing without getting one's self in trouble.

We're hoping our products will save a GM the time he would have to spend creating something from whole cloth. Particularly if a GM is working on something in his own Traveller universe and needs a little extra something.

Or is adventuring in a subsector of his own creation and is running a little low on ideas. He can buy our product and add it into his campaign background and save a little of his effort.

What I put forth would expand the marketability of the product line, sales. And, it would still serve the purpose(s) you listed.

It is an interesting idea.

We currently have two more already in the pipeline (and some other projects as well) but we are considering it.

Yeah, I'd snap up material for undetailed worlds in SM. And what's really, really cool is, with a little bit of work, all the new details can be linked into the Galactic 2.4 software for easy GM access.

Well, ok, maybe more than a bit of work (scanning/converting graphics into .gif file format, copying/pasting desired text into text files, linking the various files into a Gal2.4 menu file) but, hey, it works well once it's done.
