Mongoose
Great miniatures mongoose you guys just keep bringing better and better stuff to us. I've just got a question that was brought up in the preview of the infantry post. With the marines and british why are there no different ethnicities present. Is it just something mongoose missed or are there plans for this in other miniatures such a special forces. Will the miniatures come varnished as if they do would it be hard to paint different skin colours iover some of them.
Thanks everyone. And again Great work mongoose.
(PS I wasn't sure if this belonged here or in the 'off topic' section)

They will come (and ladies too!). However, these are our first miniatures of this nature, and so we are keeping things as simple as we can to begin with.

Interestingly, it's not easy to tell the average female soldier from the average male soldier in full combat kit. Unless you know them personally and recognise their way of moving, etc, you probably wouldn't tell the difference.

Something I've noticed, at least model-wise, is that females tend to be smaller than their male counterparts. Not height-wise, but often they have thinner bodies, arms and legs and such.

Just something I thought about.

I am afraid that I am not all that impressed so far. The paint jobs I will give the benefit of the doubt to as its difficult to judge from photographs one way or another unless you paint for the camera.

Its the poses which I really don’t like they seem very wooden and toy soldier like and whilst I would be interested in a near future set of rules I would given what I have seen likely go for more traditional figures from some where else with better animation, the assault group Miniatures or Ground zeros Stargrunt being cases in point.

I will declare an interest I paint Wargames figures for a living and was concerned that these would be competition they so far aren’t which is a pity

Run-on Sentence
A grammatically faulty sentence in which two or more main or independent clauses are joined without a word to connect them or a punctuation mark to separate them.

i also paint for a living around this time of year, and i like this prepainted idea, what im gona do is get a few of these sets and modify the paint schemes slightly for buyers, this is opening a new market up where prepainted figures are more aceptable and unpainted figures less acceptable.

think about it players can buy the normal yanls or for a few extra £ buy a weathered version of me ? minimal effort from me and happy customers allround.
