Whilst their society journal isn't glossy and pretty it is chock full of very useful and interesting stuff (last issue had articles on the Spanish on the Eastern Front), has reviews of stuff that you probably won't of heard about and discounts with a host of companies that'll cover your sub.
I've found my membership are worthwhile investment and the SOTCW forum and excellent place to get expert advice.
