Ghost Recon Evo-s Battle Report : first test of rules

soulman

Mongoose
Alitte time to test my new version of Evo-s for more type skirmish battles

Location dusty town from black hawk down

forces

20+ bad guys ACC 5+ TRA 5+
poorly trained in weapons and tactics

Good guys

4 man delta team ACC 3+ TRA 3+

2 X 4 MAN RANGER TEAMS ACC 4+ TRA 4+

Battle played out quick and fast end result was bad guys wiped out, and we had 4 wounded for the good guys, 1 delta who past his wound test of 4+ at the end of the battle to see if he survives, which he did, and the 2 out of the 3 wounded rangers pulled though also, only 1 ranger wounded in battle died afterwards

SCORE 20 DEAD BAD GUYS
1 DEAD GOOD GUY, 3 IN HOSPITAL, THAT WILL RETURN TO DUTY.

HIGH LIGHT OF THE SMALL SKIRMISH..

"The 4 man delta team split into 2 units of 2 to go around both sides of a building, one 2 man team had the leader, so they was still TRA 3+ for suppression, the other 2 on the other side of the building was out of the comand range of the leader, and there TRA went to 4+.

One delta then covered the advance of the other down the side of the building, and then a bad guy popped out and opened fire with his second action, if needed a ACC 5+ to hit the delta guy, and rolled a 1, checking the new AMMO TABLE, a second 1 is rolled, which is gun jammed..!!!!

Great news for the delta guy, as with his one reaction opens fire and rolls a 1 himself..!!!! NO.....

Rolling on the AMMO TABLE, a second 1 is also rolled, now the delta forces guys m14 is jammed......

Luckly for him, its now deltas turn, he spends 2 actions trying to unjam and fails, looking into the enemys eyes he wonders who will unjam first...

Luckly for my guy, the second delta open fires and kills the bad guy trying to unjam his ak..!!!

It was sweat all around, as i thought i may lose a team member...

NOTES...
I used the 1 reaction rules only, and tried the rule of if wounded and a team member is within 3" you must test for suppression also, which also worked.

It played out very well, no problems with the new skill system in place, ammo rules worked great, and suppression also.

Look forward to testing sometime with the cross com system

If you were trying to do a blackhawk down scenario. . you ought to give the delta guys a secure, capture, and extract objective and/or a rescue objective and give the bad guys infinite respawn.

I've heard casualty numbers from that incident as high as 18 vs. 10,000. Not since Agincourt was something so lopsided. But that's what you get when you have modern equipment, well trained soldiers, heavy weapons, and air support against a poorly armed, untrained rabble.

. . .and yet it was still a strategic and political defeat for the U.S.

If they had given them support from Specter gunships, it never would have happened that way. . . although the political fallout probably would have been a lot worse due to us flattening parts of central Mogadishu.

10 000 put' the americans at a 100 kills/ soldier,, or thereabouts

*Wiki line*
Somali casualty figures are unknown, but American estimates are that between 1,000 and 1,500 Somali militiamen and civilians lost their lives in the battle, with injuries to another 3,000-4,000. The book Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War estimates more than 700 Somali militiamen dead and more than 1,000 wounded. Eighteen American soldiers died and 73 were wounded (another American soldier, Delta team leader SFC Matt Rierson was killed in a mortar attack two days later). Among UN forces, 1 Malaysian soldier died and 7 were wounded, along with 2 Pakistanis.

*Edit* and the point of my message was, here's a readymade Black hawk down scenario :)
