The problem is google glass is a pair of glasses, that is the main part of it is transparent. Hows this for an idea instead of it being a pair of glasses, what if it was a pair of camera phones that you wear on your eyes? In it normal mode it gives you a real time 3 dimensional live video feed of what is in front of you. The phone would eliminate contrast and glare, and also give you image enhancement at night. There would be two screens on both sides of the phone as well as two cameras, the screen on the outside would produce an image of your eyes.

Not really - it is more like a HUD device, reflecting the 'screen' onto your retina, there is little or no glass lens. With your idea, the screens would have to be placed a short distance in front of the eyes, in order for you to focus on them, a bit clunky and unwieldy, I would have thought.Tom Kalbfus said:
No, I think google glass was/is a good idea, but priced out of the market that would want to buy the majority of them. Perhaps if they can bring the price down to where the mobile phone/tablet prices are, they might have better luck.
Oops - I stand corrected, a few of the designs ARE built into glasses, so apologies Tom, you were correct in that.
Google glass sounds nifty and useful (I haven't tried one), but also pretty limited. While still under development, Magic Leap (http://gizmodo.com/how-magic-leap-is-secretly-creating-a-new-alternate-rea-1660441103) sounds far more impressive.
