Im bored again so its time for another random poll out of curiosity!

Im just wondering how many people here got into the game because of the TV show, and how many if any got into the Show because of the game! (and so on)

Incidentally anyone who chooses the last option should stop wasting time answering internet polls and go watch it now. ALL OF IT!!!

Well this is more or less what I expeceted but I'll be interested to see how many people hadnt seen (or STILL havent seen) the show before they got into ACTA... but I suspect those of us who practically live on these forums will probably be the 'hardcore' B5 fans (I refuse to use the term 'Fivers' as I think thats just about the lamest thing Ive ever heard, its like Trekkies calling themselves Trekkers. A Trekker contrary to any definitions you may have heard in the past is merely a Trekkie in denial ;). A Fiver on the other hand is a small piece of paper with some writting and pictures on it used to buy stuff ) and thereforre all the 'number 1 options' will rack up alot faster!

I wouldn't even have given this game a look if it hadn't been for the show. I have never managed to work up any enthusiasm for generic space combat games, or those with their own universe.

So it's 8 for 8.

Loved the show first, got into B5Wars first Edition first, but found any game took forever, never got into Fleet Action. Discovered ACTA Jan 2005, hav'nt looked back since.

well by the rule we should be "fivies" :D

Well I put up with the term trekkie as its become such a universally adopted word (hell its even in the oxford english dictionary!). Great though it is B5 has not (and to be honest I doubt it ever will) even come close to the colossal following Star Trek has. For my part I love both of them (and think B5 edges it JUST over DS9 (though its close, I really, really LOVE DS9 (and please no 'DS9 is just a B5 rip off' posts, they both nicked ideas from each other liberally if were honest and fair enough they were more or less directly competeing for viewers (though had I known about B5 back then Id have watched both every time they were on religeously :D, the only reason I dont own all of DS9 on DVD is that Paramount are a collection of a certain bodily orrifice and insist on charging ludicrous amounts for them (I think its something like 60-70 POUNDS for each series and theres 7 seasons.....)

I probably wouldn't have played any generic starship combat game, same way that generic RPGs usually (but with a couple of exceptions) don't attract my attention.

Next up I want a BSG game!

That's 13 of 13 now :)

Loved the show & almost got into Fleet Action but never bought the rules.

Rediscovered B5 through blockbuster online & told my friend (Farseer) about me watching the show again. He introduced me to ACTA, I fell head over heels!

Enjoyed the show. Loved the RPG so bought the DVDs and really enjoyed watching the show again. Bought ACTA based on the strength of the RPG.

So I don't quite fit into the poll. :)

I was gonna do the rpg with the minis, like this is what the ship your on looks like ..... Wanders if mongoose will do the Far Star as a mini
